Yeah, Taylor doesn't say that either. Tend-and-Befriend is a description of a pattern of behavior associated with the Fight-or-Flight response in females, it doesn't take the place of it. It's not an either / or. The paper is saying both males and females have fight-or-flight responses, rather it is that email that carelessly reframes this as "testosterone-elicited" fight-or-flight - though even still, it also doesn't say women don't have fight-or-flight responses. Nothing I've read in this thead says that.
