Magnetism and Electricity

Featured Replies

Is it possible to put two sources of energy into one object, even if it's just to switch sources of energy to without letting the object turn off?

If I put a magnets in an upright position (see picture), will it spin?

Would this picture be possible?

I doubt it would spin (In a free energy type way)

Only one way to find out; build it and see what happens.

Theory, experiment, conclude.

Where are the polls on those magnets?

All the same so it all repels

Where are the poles on those magnets?

Thank gawd the election is (mostly) over.

Anyhow, I don't understand your drawing either, but I am gonna go with a big NO.

Replace some of those magnets with electromagnets, and you will have an electric motor.

So you are sort of on the right track. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch, however. If you want the rotor to spin, you are going to have to apply energy to it.
