Boronic
So I was absent the day it was discussed in class, so I want some help. Here's the question from the book I'm using: " Write the electron dot structure for the compounds formed from the combination of the given pairs of elements. Identify the bonds formed between them." So what topics should I read about, and how is it done? Edited October 9, 2008 by Boronic
DrP
You just put in the e's in the outer shell and pair them up. The I don't know how to draw them on here so I looked a couple up on line - this site looked like it explained it well with some good diagrams: http://www.coolschool.ca/lor/CH11/unit5/U05L12.htm Or type 'electron dot diagrams' into google - there is alot more reading there.
