Sodium Polyacrylamide

Featured Replies

well, that's one name at least....

I was just going around the web looking at some chemistry stuff and I came across a website selling "Sodium Polyacrylamide"

Apparently, it is used in those collars that cool you down and that you wear around your neck.

I was wondering if anyone had any additional information. Does it have the same basic affect as ammonium nitrate does when it dissolves in water? Or is there something more happening?

No wikipedia page, grrr.....

thanks

Thanks

I was gonna say, a chemical without a wikipedia page!?

Well, of course there are some, but I wonder if I should trust these guys. I mean, if you mispell the name, it really shows how much they know about it... how good a quality of substance that they are selling....
