Spiking fever is way ppl describe a high fever (pyrexia); also swinging fever and spiking temperature.

Well, short term elevation of body temperature above normal. What did you think the symptom of a spiking fever wouild be?

Of the pyrexia, paracetomol usually does the trick in the short-term. Of the underlying infection (if that's the cause of the spike), depends what's causing it.
