Guess who's back? :)

Two Questions Now! My guesses/thoughts provided? Any help? Thanks! :embarass:

1. If CO2’s concentration in the fluid out of the cell was higher than inside it what would occur? What would make it so this would not typically happen?

- The cell would shrink. Equilibrium prevents it.

2. Why do gardeners soak their fresh veggies in salt water before fresh water?

- To create an electrolyte? I honestly have not a clue.

1. The direction materials will move throughout osmosis is dependent on which factor?

- The concentration

I'd say yes! After all, osmosis is a physical process and that means that substances move from the place with greater concentration to a place with smaller concentration! And (as you may know) the difference of osmosis from diffusion is that in osmosis substances move through membrane!.
3. How is facilitated diffusion different from diffusion and osmosis? How do this help the cells?

- Uses protein channels. Brings in the larger molecules without using energy.

None of them (diffusion , osmosis) uses energy, they're physical processes. Active transport does!
4. If CO2’s concentration in the fluid out of the cell was higher than inside it what would occur? What would make it so this would not typically happen?
Think of how oxygen enters in alveoles and you'll get the right answer. It's a matter of diffusion:rolleyes:

6. How come it is not suggested to drink distilled/salt water?
Distilled water is not suggested due to lack of some very important salts for organism!

Maybe you did, haha! I don't even know what they are, I gotsta whip out the dictionary.com ;)

remaining two are the ones I haven't gotten

Pretty Pweeze!

handed it in todayyyy what were you meaning about the aveoles and stuff ? that is stays in your blood or something

Alveoles are filled with oxygen due to diffusion, and it's diffusion that applies to the question where I mentioned alveoles!
