For the last weeks I am having a hard time with computer viruses. Just hanging out here I get AVAST alerts, the latest of which is 'Win32:Delf-GVX'. What do others know??? Oh no, I did not type that greenface.

You typed ": D" (without the space between or the quotes) and that invoked the code for that big green smiley. To google the virus just add colonD in place of the smiley.

 

This must be a fairly new virus because there's not much out there about it.

Anybody else getting these? It's a bit concerning.

Certainly I have a local problem, Cap'n, things pop up regardless of what sites I am on. More than once some Malware Alert came up just hanging out here, though I should record specifics to be accurate.

it could be a preexisting infection thats is connecting somewhere else. while you are looking here.
