Green flame, some pyrotechnic experiments

Contains:

-Boric acid + ethanol antifreeze burned, a fairly nice green flame but I've seen it done better on some videos. Any suggestions?

-An awesome line by the demoman class from Team Fortress 2. :)

-Lots of commercial fireworks (that really suck in Finland btw) dumped in an old milk container thing. Not very scientific but quite awesome.

-Varying amounts of flash powder in various containers.

-A 3kg Fe2O3/Al thermite in a zinc bucket that I couldn't capture in it's entirety since it ignited when the camera was off. :(

-MacGyver.

Whether it's blowing up energy drink cans, melting steel pans, wife carrying or just being incredibly drunk all the time we sure do.

I made some nice green flames a while back with copper oxide and methanol....

I was supposed to try boric acid + methanol but then realized I don't have any methanol, it's actually pretty hard to come by these days. Even denaturing is done mainly with methyl ethyl ketone.

Try looking in Hardware stores, you can sometimes get it under the name of 'wood alcohol'
