i was just wondering if anyone had a list of the densest/heaviest liquids/gels that are not harmful with the main aim to add weight to something without a need for any saftey equipment i.e. ventilation or protective clothing etc.

ideally the substance would be a gel that is stable but pliable so as to not resrict movement or cause imbalanced my movement of the substance like a liquid does. and it must be in this gel state at room temp.

Well, I guess you could go with finely powdered tungsten in starch/water. Why do you want to know?

where would i get powdered tungsten from?

Reduction of WO3 by hydrogen at high temp is the industrial process I think. It's not very cheap.

any other ideas that are cheaper and more readily available??

use Bismuth instead then.
