GutZ Posted December 13, 2006 Share Posted December 13, 2006 whilst that`s only Part true, Mg will burn in Plenty other gasses, it Will not burn in a Vacuum Damn it! alright but the moon doesn't have an atomphere (by claim of flag), For it to be semi-effective you need a good amount of the gases it can react with, right? Basically they won't work as effectively as it does on earth. Wouldn't a thermite reaction need oxygen to present in the initial stage? I gathered that Thermite is FeO +Mg or Al +Mg mixture, and that the combustion (or whatever other technical term is approperiate) starts with the Mg. Dak Posted December 13, 2006 Share Posted December 13, 2006 How do you explain the retroreflector that was left on the moon, that it's quite trivial to send a laser through a microscope and then detect the returning beam? not to mention the fact that one of the other nations that has been to space, and dropped probes on the moon, would have undoubtably probed the 'alledged' landing spot to prove it didn't exist, just so they could point at america and laugh at their gullability, were there any reason to actually believe this were a hoax. or is this supposed to be an international hoax?
