Wanna change default pdf reader

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm a firefox user.

I'd like to change my default pdf reader from Adobe Reader to Foxit Reader.

How can I do this? Foxit reader offers a neater and faster way compared to Adobe reader though the latter offers more functions.

Open foxit reader, then goto "help" and the first option in that drop down menu is "use foxit as default reader" or something like that.

Way to go with Foxit reader. Way smaller program, and no annoying adobe down loader utility that tries to update ever 34 seconds!

My god, I hate the adobe reader updater!! I didn't realize there was a .pdf alternative, though. This makes me happy.

You can disable Adobe Updates. On WinXP:

Start

Run

msconfig

Startup tab

Oh, Abode Update isn't there for me anymore!

In that case for Abode Reader 6 open it up, go to the Edit menu, Preferences, then select Updates. You can then change the updates to manual.

I think you uninstall Adobe reader and install Foxit reader as it now becomes your primary pdf reader...
