Hands down, my favorite was Dukakis in the tank.

 

I can still remember the squeaking sound of the tank as it rolled around with Dukakis looking like a complete nerd.

Jim, there are always positive spots, but I guess the real question is whether any of them would be memorable as having been effective. Let me give it some thought.

The most effective of all time was probably the Lyndon Johnson with the little girl and the atomic bomb. Only aired once, and probably the most infamous ad ever, strongly implying that Goldwater would start a nuclear war. Of course, to be fair, Goldwater also implied that he would start a nuclear war.

 

Honorable mention goes to Reagan and the bear.

Heh, that is what I was saying. I honestly can't remember any of the warm fuzzies.
