You just sparked a memory from the Glastonbury festival, where they had a gymnast floating around under a giant balloon...

Did you see it then ? Most of the random performing arts are there most years...I didn't personally go to 2004, but I definetly saw this in 1999, maybe 2000. I think Orbital were playing at the time.

My memories of that weekend are bit fuzzy, but yea I definately remember a similar performer there that year.

How about making a rucksack that could be filled with helium after it has been packed. Then it would be lighter to wear.

But to make any significant difference to the weight, you would need several times as much as a bag full which would be too bulky and impractical.
