Can anybody tell me if there is any fact supporting them or are they just an idea?:confused:

There are many a facts if you know the right places to search. In fact most sci fi shows have some basis in truth. Parallel universes is absolutely normal and is the most intriguing of all unis out there.

Parallel universes do exist and there is some evidence delineating this. Read Charles Fort 'The Complete Works of Charles Fort'.
