It seems like that the "who's online box" always has a 1:10 ratio of members to guests. So therefore if we made this site open only to registered to users, we can get more registerees*

But then it takes up valuable database space for users that dont intend to post and just wanna read.

Besides, shouldn't the contents of the forums (and the useful information contained herein) be open to the public, in order to spread said information?
