does it work? is it a smart drug?

The term “nootropic” does not seem to have a properly defined meaning and is often abused to promote agents and supplements of doubtful utility. Caffeine seems to work, for many people.

your question is too stupid for this website.

"nootropics" is an umbrella term, and there may be hundreds of them. Without qualifying which substance is in question, or what it is being taken "for", your question is quite obviously unanswerable.
