hijack from Microbes melting out of glaciers

There are 2 main theories on where coronavirus came from. One is from wet market selling wild anymals and the another one is from the laboratory conducting dangerous experiments on deadly viruses. Both are open and operated as if nothing has happened. But let's worry about frozen bacteria on the poles.

Pretty sure we've got enough resources to invest some effort towards the viral threat of coronavirus AND possible bacterial threats from new sources. Don't fall into the trap of thinking humans as a species have to focus on one thing at a time.

Back on topic, it seems clear this is a classic crisis representing both big dangers and big opportunities. I hope we have the time to sort through which is which.

We could do multi-tasking as a world community. Instead we do zero tasking. No matter what you think about the origins of coronovirus we did nothing to prevent it from happening again. We didn't close markets selling wild animals and we didn't put in place stricter control over virus research. It's laughable even to mention other threats like unfrozen ancient bacteria.
