Not that this makes the news in the alternative energy area much, but its news worthy none the less. In my personal research as a builder and experimenter with alternative energy systems, I have built water batteries that supply non stop power from years to decades. They never need recharging and the only downside is the coils may need cleaning once a year or so to remove any corrosion. And since they only use plain water they are non toxic as well.
