Why Does Putrescine Hydrochloride Salts Emit An Odor?

I have a question of which I’m hoping someone can possibly assist me in..

if you have Putrescine Hydrochloride in ‘Salt’ formation then why is it that it doesn’t emit an odor?

Does it have to be activated by something additional?

Your head line sayas it does emit an odor, your questen says it doesnt, what is the case now.

Normaly salts from amin compounds shouldt have an odor only there is some decomposition or inpurity.
