So, how on Earth do I solve this equation using the quadratic formula. e^2x+e^x-6=0

Have you heard of substitution of variables?

Oh I got it now. I have to replace the e^x with variable for example a, in order solve it with quadratic formula. Then I simply set that e^x=a (whatever a will be)
