Pump suction and discharge pipe diameter

Featured Replies

Do we have any chart to help us sizing the suction and discharge pipe diameter when flow mass and velocity range is known?

You do not need a chart.  \[Cross Section Area = MF \times \frac{1}{\rho} \times \frac{1}{V} \]

So for water, a MF of 1Kg/s at a velocty of 100 cm/s the cross section would need to be 10 cm^2 or a pipe diameter of 3.568 cm.
