popjinx
Does anyone know of a good physical chemistry text book that I could purchase? I want something to supplement a physical chemistry course I will be taking in the fall.
LucidDreamer
Is it the physical chemistry course dealing with thermodynamics or quantum physics?
popjinx
It involves: quantum theory, atomic and molecular structure, symmetry, spectroscopy, diffraction methods, thermodynamics, kinetic theory, equilibria, introductory statistical mechanics, and reaction kinetics. Skye
Have you got Atkins' one? That's probably the standard text.
Bluenoise
We use PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY A MOLECULAR APPROACH by MCQUARRIE & SIMON, it pretty much covers it all for any physical chemistry course be it thermodynamics or quantum physics. It is a bit heavy though.
