Questions about E.C.A

Featured Replies

In E.C.S, there is an anticlockwise rule to predict the feasibility of reaction.

According to anticlockwise rule, when silver ion reacts with iodide ion, it will form silver metal and iodine. However, silver iodide is formed instead. Why is it so?

Thanks~

There is no redox reaction:

Ag+ + I- => AgI,  This will precipitate.  The ions still existing.
