Rate law of KI and H2O2

Featured Replies

Hi! I'm writing a paper studying the rate law of KI with different concentrations of H2O2, at high school level. What do you suggest I include as theory et cetera?

Hello Philip and welcome.#

A few pointers to forum etiquetter first.

You seem to say that this is coursework so it should be in the Homework section.

Please read the rules of this section here.

As regards to your question well you have mentioned the concentration of hydrogen peroxide, but what about the concentration of potassium iodide?

What else should you mention?

Well I suggest you use the full names in the paper rather than the symbols.

Then think about what conditions can vary. (eg temperature, pH......)

What do you know about the reaction?

That is what are the products?
What are you going to measure to gauge the rate?
Will the reaction go to completion ? How will you know?

What happens if you have a large excess of one reagent?
