Since I have been here there have been at least two major software version upgrades.

One thing I have missed in all this time available on many other forums is the popup  preview box,

obtainable if you hover over the thread in the listings.

But only in the category view, not in the new posts view

So I have never seen it until today.

Can this not be activated from other views and listings?
