Do you feel similar to driverless cars automation technology, there could be Driverless Locomotive and Local trains automation in the future?

If yes, how ? How the automation will work where the train is driven without a motorman?

If no, why? Is it because too many risks involved? Not feasible to automate ?

That said I don't see them automated anytime soon not because it isn't possible but because people are unpredictable and it is safer to have a train driver and security than not have them.

Wikipedia has a list of unmanned urban metro / subway systems. Those are local trains, right?
