I have a very naive question. can we infuse substances into lungs and study its effects and later revert the situation. For example, infuse organic acid and later neutralize by adding a different reagent ? I ma talking of this experimentally, in mouse.

I want to study the effect of the compound on a particular subset of cells, in lungs, and their reversal later to retrieval or neutralization of the substance.
