Help Identifying a Particle

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I need to identify what particle this is. It was ejected from the nucleus of an oxygen atom with a mass of 3.8x10-25 kg and the particle itself has a mass of 6.6x10-27 kg. Any ideas? Thanks!

But Oxygen atom has no rest-mass mentioned by you..

It's much much smaller (O-16 approximately 2.66e-26 kg)

It's quite obvious what is this particle. What is rest-mass of proton? Divide one by another. Round a bit. There is just couple possible isotopes with this mass number/Baryon number.
