Well both these articles are prior to the Planck datasets and the Sloan sky survey so it may be appropriate to look at more recent studies. A lot has changed since these articles.

Since the Sloan Digital Sky Survey began in 2014 and is on-going and will not be completed until the year 2020, good luck with that.

Yeah I forgot much of their published survey is the local. Anyways there are more recent studies.
