Hi,
Does anyone know what the following error from Microsoft Word means and what to do to correct the problem ?
'Word couldn't create the work file'

Make sure all office software is shut down prior to following these steps.

  1. Click Start.
  2. Type in TEMP into the text field.
  3. Select files/folders in the temp folder (CTRL + A) and hold the SHIFT key then click DELETE. It will then prompt you with a warning to permanently delete these files. Click yes to confirm this.
  4. Relaunch Word.

Alternatively,  for recovery word file, you can upload the file here https://onlinefile.repair/en/word.html and than to reopen it.
