Conservatism correlate negatively with IQ results, and it's been proven "right" is, very often, synonymous with "religion", again, not something very scientific. Some are democrats, some green, some libertarian, but none I have yet met can stomach the current Republican party, mostly due to the influence of the Christian Right (as well as the Republican postion of "F*** the environment.") If you believed Saddam had WMD, but were still against the war, you should vote green or democrat. You can be for gun control and be a Republican and you can be for the war in Iraq and be a Democrat. If you recognize this, you shouldn't be suggesting people vote based on these specific issues.
