OK, would you use the same labels for space and the relatively huge pressure at the top of a mercury barometer?

 

What I said at the outset was "Some of the mercury will be lost by evaporation"

No, that was not my reply. That was my post. I did not quote you; I was not replying to you. I was providing information for those reading the thread, specifically imatfaal, who had asked for more information.
