psychology help- GABA receptors

Featured Replies

________ the amount of GABA _________ seizure activity and/or anxiety.

Indeed. Lots of anxiolytic drugs are benzodiazepines or barbiturates (these last ones are actually more frequently used in more obscure processes: anaesthesiology, sedation, euthanasia, ...). Some benzodiazepines might act as an anti-epileptic drug.

Gabapentin and pregabalin resemble GABA and activate the GABARs, in order to calm the brain down. They are frequently used as anti-epileptic drugs (sometimes neuropathical pain and anxiolytic)
