Yes, that's why I said it is more beneficial to learn than to play, although both are needed. When you learn, you incorporate new strategies and concepts in your games. When you play, you learn to apply these nuances and get experience in playing them. However, I would say that, on average, a day of learning will improve your game more than a day of playing.
