  1. I don't know who's messing with my electronics but can you please stop? Seriously it's getting old, I've been dealing with it for years

  2. Well, after one night with a new attitude (a very strange one, but one that I find extraordinarily attractive in one particular female), I've got a job opportunity playing piano for some big shot hip hop trap house techno rap style gurus in the area. I also met some cool people. I've also learned not to give two doodoo pies.
  3. Knowing more is much more exciting IMO.
  4. I'm going to change my approach drastically heheh time for some life changes
  5. I'm not taking it as an insult. I've been very humbled lately, and I'm slipping into a depression again. I really hate knowing that because it's like I just recently came out of one that lasted over 4 years of my life. I just notice my thoughts beating me up again. I'm getting anxiety a lot lately and, when that happens, I put myself down. I really don't get mad, and I never dwell on negativity. Really, science is my only outlet, and I think that I've been lacking insight lately.
  6. I've been reminding myself of how horrible of a person I am lately, thanks for backing up that point. This is why I sleep for more than 10 hours a day lately. Another side of me wants to believe that I'm really not that bad.
  7. Oops i meant to give a +1 to that last message but accidentally clicked -1, moderators please fix that if you can and delete this message! Thanks for the input cap'n! I agree completely Why don't you guys talk to Cap'n Refsmat for me, I became aware that he's doing the same type of work that I concern myself with.
  8. It really depends on what you consider junk food. I've been feeling light-headed lately (for seemingly no reason, any suggestions as to why would be appreciated). I looked up how to prevent fainting from being light-headed and it said get something sugary. I also realized that I haven't been keeping up with protein lately, so I decided that I needed something sugary and preferably with protein. It led me to a package of Reese's fast break snack size candy bars. After eating a few, it cured my symptoms. Some people might consider that junk food, but for someone who has low blood sugar and needs protein, it's a healthy option.
  9. I don't think you're getting the point. Not only am I waiting on emails and calls from potential employers, but sometimes I find myself speaking with very important people, and sometimes the messages are urgent. I respect company policy, and I never waste time on my phone when I don't feel that it is necessary, but when I find myself speaking with politicians, diplomats, military officials, professors of world renowned technological institutions, researchers, covert operants, guards, and even local officials, I feel the need to have my phone on me, and sometimes these messages are urgent. Not only do I have a chance at a better life, but I also know that my words and the code I've written could be relevant and useful, and I feel that it's better that I tell them now as opposed to after I stock the shelves with two liters of soda. It really sucks to work overnights and get an occasional message of high importance but get yelled at by a mean manager or have my phone taken away and hidden from me so I can play cards (and I hate playing cards). Not only am I about to miss the messages at night, but I also risk sleeping during the day which is also when I receive messages of high importance. Like I said before, when I have my phone taken away, I kindly let that person know that I am leaving and I need it back, and I don't lie. I've upset a lot of people by doing that and I don't intend on making any exceptions until I am in the presence of these people that I respect and am willing to risk my life for.
  10. I don't expect that you guys will take me seriously when I say this, but I have been surprised several times at how friendly the staff and participants on these forums have been by now. I'm at risk of losing my job because of a miserable manager. She's mean, not much more to say about her. If you truly know me, then you also know how important my phone and my electronic devices are for me. I talk with a lot of very important people using my phone and I cannot risk having someone take it away from me (and my friends have done this several times before, each of which I kindly let them know that I was leaving and I needed my phone back). Today, she told me that she has seen me on the phone several times and I need to either leave it in the car or she's going to take it away. I can't risk not having my phone on me and if she does take it away, I'm literally going to walk out the door and call MRS on her. Would someone be so kind to help me out and explain to her how important it is that I have my phone on me. My livelihood literally depends on it (in more ways than one).
  11. I think John Cuthber made an extraordinary point and I can't thank him enough for it. I was thinking about trying out the enzyme for myself, and I have heard from a few people who are already using it. I'm going to keep in touch with those people and see what happens to them before I use it myself. One guy is 31 and his face looks like he's 17 again in all honesty. I don't know how long he's been using it though. Well guys, I've decided to try out the "telomere advantage". Wish me luck and I'll keep you guys updated on my status.
  12. Sorry about that, I was just making a citation to the original video that I saw. It ended up being about telomeres
  13. I've seen a somewhat recent "breakthrough" on YouTube. There were scientists who were experimenting on rats with enzymes that affect the extremities of DNA strands and have a repairing effect. What they've shown is that it seems to be reversing the aging process, but they don't want to make any extreme conclusions about it, let alone that it might actually be the holy grail of survival sciences. I didn't give it too much thought at the time, but someone contacted me earlier today in response to a craigslist posting. He called himself a doctor and I gathered from the message that he's probably an older man, he said that he's wondering if I have any clients who may like to experiment with this "age reversing" product that supposedly gave him the ability to do 20 chin ups again. I'm skeptical; I don't know what to think about it, but I'd love to see the results of this type of research ASAP.
  14. I really didn't want to mention this, but I currently work at CVS. I have straightened those isles for months and I can personally tell you that they have PLENTY of healthy food. They have a whole isle for nutritional shakes, and another isle for diabetic shakes and snacks. Not to mention all the vitamins and dietary supplements they also have. They also have an entire isle for cleaning supplies, and also, for every item they do have, they also have their own proprietary items that cost a lot less and are very often on sale. All of the items are quality controlled as well. They also have very high standards for keeping their stores clean and their shelves stocked. It is by far the most ethical work place I have ever been employed at. The corporation itself is extremely friendly and they've done nothing but care and be very kind. The only complaint I have is that they don't pay well, like most other big companies.
  15. Everyone who thinks that lowering the population would solve significant problems hasn't thought of the implications. We have plenty of room here in the USA for a lot more people. If China can fit that many people there, we can fit twice as much, maybe even more. Our diseases aren't really mutating. The world is becoming a better place, and Exxon is working on the pollution problem. There's a plant near where I live that has reduced hazardous emissions by over 75% in the last twenty years, and they're being forced by the government to make it even more. IBM just released Watson and showed what it's capable of when it won Jeapordy. The program can read over 2 million documents in less than 3 seconds.
  16. Did you guys know that 90% of food in our grocery stores didn't exist 90 years ago? The only ones that I know of are milk and corn flakes. Give it another 90 years and let's see what happens.
  17. I feel like I'm prone to ruining my life and I need a bone.

  18. It really grinds my gears when people say that this planet is overpopulated. Once people start believing that, people start looking for quick solutions, genocide being one of them. I don't think that the human population is detrimental to our well being, and if we did have a central source of intellect, such as a supercomputer, I'm sure it would find a much better solution than limiting population growth. There are solutions out there already which don't involve limitations on population growth; I've proposed a few, and a lot of other people are working very hard on it as well. If we did have a supercomputer intelligence at the center of decision making, it would most likely choose the best solution out there before it comes up with solutions of its own.
  19. I've been contemplating whether or not I should get on disability lately. It really seems like the only option at this point. I'm falling into depression again. Hopefully something pulls through for me. Wish me luck guys.
  20. I'll get into a more detailed response later, but for now I just want to let you know that I really don't try to change the system. Most of my jobs have been dead end jobs like waiting, but right now I'm a cashier. I respect my employer, but most of the time, I fear them. I respect them, but I'm usually afraid of them. I really don't know why, and the same goes for people's parents. I've only run into 2 families where the parents were nice with me, everyone else's families just don't like having their children have friends over, and most of the time there really isn't anything to do anyways. I'm a cashier right now and I'm being paid $8/hr. I do have opportunities though. Bail bond agencies have taken a particular liking to me because of my technical skills. How do you guys know if I was lying earlier though? Go ahead and check my electronics, nothing illegal.
  21. I am definitely narcissistic. I'll reread Phi's post now. It's not that I don't want to hear it, I appreciate hearing it. I just wish I was a better person. I'm stuck right now and my parents are paying over $600 a month on my bills. I hate the fact that I can't support myself and I really want to believe that I have something good to offer people, but my degree is not the most appealing for industrial purposes, and I'm not going to be happy unless I get a job that makes me feel important, that's really all I want. Again, thank you for the sentiment. Will someone give me a job? Please?
  22. Woo! I'm a senior member now :)

  23. Well you guys can't seriously tell me that you don't like having me around. I'm not worried about what you guys think of me, but check this out. A guy posted to my Facebook earlier today, and I thought that it was ironic given this thread. "dude I have seen like 5 status that u posted that are arrogant as f***. I just want to say to you that you are a quire. educate yourself" "I don't know who you are. Care to clarify?" "not really you just need to take some sort of stick out of ur a** and get off your f****** high horse. I dont doubt your educated on subject matter but perspective of life morals values and dignity is somthing that you should think about inside yourself and instead of brushing me off like a douche try it atleast you might find some things about yourself that you should change to better your life. egotistical. " "I hope you're not judging me by my appearance. I really don't think you know me enough to say these things and truly mean them, but some other people have been doing the same thing with me lately, which is why I'm curious as to why you're saying these things. Most of what you said is completely vacuous, and I'm not judging you for saying these things. Normally I would immediately delete a message like that, but because you're not the only one saying things like that to me, I'll leave it" "No just by a few of your status. im not gonna read the rest of your comment tho :p" I really can't believe that I even wasted a single moment talking to that guy. I'm sorry guys. Honestly, I am so thankful for being a part of this forum, and there really is no one I respect more in this world than you guys. I can't even describe with words how much I appreciate your input. I wanna say that I love you guys, but I don't know if it's appropriate. Seriously, I wish the best for all of you.
  24. Good question. I think it really depends on who I'm interacting with. What makes the posters here likable is that they're smart and they're willing to have intelligent conversations about the stuff that interests me. What makes someone likable in my immediate friends is that they're willing to be playful and they can take a joke. They can be themselves with me and not worry that I'm going to pass judgment on them, and I really don't do that with anyone unless they truly offend me. I think that I am a very trustworthy person in all actuality. I'm not a thief, I'm not a liar, I'm not an addict, I have personality and I truly don't think that I give anyone a reason to not trust me, which is why I kind of feel blindsided by ophiolites remark. I really wish you guys would clarify about that one because I don't know what I did.
