  1. you're crazy having o2 under pressure makes it very dangerous indeed, most things will burn in a compressed o2 atmosphere, when you're filling the tank it heats up, watch your self this can make a bomb which would blow away some body parts if not carful, please don't mix them together.

Just look at it in the same way a diesel engine works, no spark just pressure, boom.

  2. just a quick read, if u have sugar left over add more oxidizer, some if there is white oxidizer left add more sugar, some where in the rage 2/3oxy to 1/2 fuel.

Also add iron oxide of the catalysis as sulphur can set the rocket off on its own which isn’t good and very unsafe, just rust works as good.

As for the power of this, sugar rockets are pretty poor. composite rockets using multi layers of different compounds is what they do now days, but here in the UK you don’t have chance of every trying it, laws.

But be careful it doesn’t blow up.

But if you'll looking into it have look at hybrid rockets, using solid and gas, nitrogen oxide and a solid plastic is what some use, works as well, and law and a lot a safer if done correctly.

  3. lol. I've got 78% h202 from a hobby I have, buy it really cheap as well, right from the shop, but I'm not letting you nutters know, you'll hurt you self and I can be having that on my mind, nice burn buy the way, I did that once as well.

No itching of anything, but now I have my gloves and goggles on every time I'm "playing". I mean I have nitric sulphuric phosphoric acid and potassium hydroxide all over 80%(don’t know in moles (hehe spelling)) the ph was down in the 0.0X. Scared me a little to know.

But I’ve not had any problem with it blowing up so to speak, lol.

    Play safe.

  4. I made that bottle first by using deodorant (not Antiperspirant) so you'll have to use your creativeness to adapt it for electrolysis, maybe add some small tubing (air line, fish take tubing) from your electrolysis bubbler to the bottle (combustion chamber).

But instead of putting a little hole to light it with a match or something get one of those little sparkers from BBQ or cigarette lighters, add some extra wire to the bottle, use a small bottle for this as it can give a kick and I wouldn’t want you to get hurt.

The air mix burns fast and pushes out the lid at the top which is a lot bigger than the little hole at the bottom, which also helps to allow fresh air to enter, but as this will have its own supply of air and fuel it will not need it.

Add a solar panel and you have water electric run potato shooter, lol.

  5. make a water sprayer, that uses electrolysis. lol. pretty simple.

Or make a water rocket they're always fun, :)

or if u want take a 2li bottle make a small hole near the base (7mmOD) and use that for burning your hydrogen in, buy lighting it with the small hole

(make sure the lid is off) it will make a great woosh and pop sound and give a good recoil. wont hurt u (well never did me, lol)

  6. Hi, I'm new around here, done some reading but it's always better to ask.

I've been playing around with Electrolysis as it's interesting, (why else would someone does it, lol )

I setup my solution which is water plus salt and then used copper probes.

I got a black slugged which I've now filtered and allowing to dry on a plain of glass, what is this stuff?

    Copper hydroxide?

    Copper chloride?

    Are something completely different?

    Thanks for any feed back.

Also on a side note I was reading about making copper sulphate using sulfuic acid, could you make sulfuric acid by adding sulfur to water?

I'm buying som copper sulphate off ebay very cheep.

I have phosphoric acid would this make copper phosphate which can be used in copper plating with the use of Electrolysis?

    Best regards Jonathan.
