Where did god come from? Human imagination.
Sorry, I didn't answer the original question.
^What iNow said^
Ignorance + Fear = god

Or, by that definition, always existed and always will.
How is "without having any properties or qualities" a case for something existing?
If it has no properties and no qualities what is it?

I feel a little sorry for this guy, he is under the control of powerful mind altering memes, he cannot see reality with out the filters of his memes and he has fallen prey to some of the worst memes of all and is liberally mixing them with the meme of fundamentalist Christianity, he is one lost puppy for sure....
Yes, but at the same time it's up to him to learn
You would think that people who are willing to believe in what essentially boils down to magic would be more open minded than the rest of us, not the other way around...

Thanks for your feedback. I think I need to research heat syncs next....
Have a look at these, you might find them useful

Just out of interest, what are you trying to do?

...It would at least look very cool.
And that's all that matters

I mentioned the solid body tides back in post #13. It didn't seem to click.
I get the distinct impression nothing ever will

Many thanks for your reply.
Do you think adding groves (either straight or in some sort of turbine form) such as those in a gun barrel would help to alleviate temperature build up from friction? I appreciate they are used for adding spin to a bullet to aid accuracy. Just wondering what effect they may have on air flow - perhaps they would speed it up?
Grooves might work like a heat sync depending on the material and that would affect the flow and pressure of the air.
Not only that, it should cause the air flow to alter due to the shape (especially if they were helical like a gun barrel). But it depends on the size I suppose...
Interesting idea....

Don't anthropomorphize waves/particles. They hate it when you do that.
I just laughed really loudly at work and caused people to stare at me...
Nicely done Swansont!

What the hell is going on?
Imagine a World
Without Free KnowledgeFor over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open Internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia. Learn more.
Make your voice heard
It explains it all in the Learn more link,
You can still get onto the french wiki with a bit of forced browsing and use google translate to read it

I will admit that I now spend every free moment here, reading, posting, debating...

...and the other one is called as Nirguna(means without having any properties or qualities).
And by this definition, does not exist

I am wondering whether changing this smooth finish to something that increases speed/flow (if this is possible) of the air will have an improved effect on RAM Air.
The smooth finish is probably an attempt to reduce turbulence in the flow of air.
To increase the speed of the flow the obvious answer to increase air pressure , so big air scoops or an impellor would do that

If God created the Universe,Who created God.
And does God have a beginning or an end.
This is one of many reasons the argument for god falls down.

Yes - quite agree. I have today realised that I have formed a dependency on wikipedia! and I cannot get my fix.
Yes, with todays wiki blackout I wondered how long it would take Wikiholism to enter this thread

A hypothetical drug with no side-effects and which is not physiologically/psychologically dependency forming - then perhaps it would be ok. BUT, the drug trade (and cigarettes etc) is a big business because the drugs are habit forming. AND most drugs do have deleterious side-effects, especially with long term use. Whilst a cheap synthetic alternative to Heroin (accepting the valid points made in above posts) might break the stranglehold of the "drug-lords" on the market - it would also drastically increase the number of people who were regular users. Whether a drug with no side effects or dependency formation would be a good think or not is a horrible question - I think the ramifications would be very hard to predict.
Personally, and frankly there is no objective measure that could be used, I would not participate in the production/sale of Heroin or Cocaine substitutes if they had the same dependency and health risks as the "original and best" varieties. Similarly I would not work in an organisation that provided gambling opportunities to the general public, nor an arms manufacturer (and that one I had a chance of actually doing); ie whilst there could be an argument for them, I will not lend them my support or abilities.
You make some good points a lot of which I agree with
it would also drastically increase the number of people who were regular usersWhat makes you say this though?

Wouldn't it make more sense to just make the original drug legal and control it?
In some instances the alternative drug is safer and easier to produce

Just looking at this again it made me wonder....
Why would they put windows in the dome??

Entrop is a thermodynamic property to do with energy that can't be used for work in a system, if that energy "leaked" into another system it would still not be usable energy.

Perhaps you should read Meditations by Marcus Aurelius on how he led a simple life even being in a palace. There ought to be a behaviourial difference between a man who believes in Providence and raises above others to do something good for the whole from individuals who don't believe in providence.
Marcus Aurelius had a choice.
It's a bit different when you're not the emperor of Rome, most people must concern themselves with their own welfare.
Marcus Aurelius did not have that to worry about.
As for his liberty and power: I think he had plenty of both without the intervention of a god

Moontanman, as you know the most often criticism for religion is that it doesn't have a method to test and look for real truths. All I was trying to do was to look for an universal method to prove religious beliefs for all instances. As ydops mentioned if anyone ever has to take a religion seriously then it has to be a new science just like how natural sciences is a perfection of philosophy.
I've probably said it 5 times in this and other threads: You cannot prove or disprove god
Religion is set up in such a way as to make it impossible.

I think the issue is this, I deal more with the math represented in numbers ,and you guys deal with the functions..
This is the problem, what Bignose did is still maths you know....
Here is my honest advice, without any sarcasm (seriously)
Go and do a course in basic maths, start at the begining and progress from there.
Get yourself on the same page as everyone else
Learn how to do it properly and then come back when you have enough knowledge/experience to put something together that makes sense.
You've asked for help and input, which we're happy to give (look at the many examples in other threads, where people have posted questions and asked for help/input), but you haven't told us how you've arrived at your numbers or why you're doing what you're doing with them or what the significance is or what you're trying to acheive.
We are working in the dark and you are getting frustrated and angry because people can't understand you.

Honestly, I cannot believe some of what I've just read...
1) The sky is not water
2) Space travel is well documented
3) air has no mechanism to "hold you down", if that were true would it not hold you in place as well?
You've called your *Theory* (which it's not but I won't go into that), "the theory of aerodynamics", have you studied aerodynamics?
If you had you would know that such properties of air (like its density) only have an effect when travelling through it at high speed.
4) If you're interested in tides there has been some very good information posted here
(proven information - not wild speculation or conjecture), have a look at it and you are very likely to learn a lot.
Failing that: Get a bowl, fill it with water and slosh it around. You will see the basics of how water acts
5) There is no god, you are wasting your life believing in fairy tales
6) The sun and moon did not stop (you are aware that we orbit the sun, right?).
7) If you're willing to accept "proof" from bronze age superstition then why ask questions at all?
Lets just say your god does it by magic, does that make you feel better?
8) Get yourself an education (a proper one), read a book (again, a proper one)
9) If you cannot do/accept any of the above join a religion forum instead and stop wasting our time

If the impinging droplets were small enough, they shouldn't hurt too much.
Good luck selling it

No problem,
Post your progress, it's worth seeing what the others have to say on it
