  1. But here I'm not talking any thing about QM and you've just told me about it. I understood what you want to tell me, and if I'm saying that there is nothing like a wave then after all my studies over it I've come to the point it was just a mathematical tool and I've several reasons voilating all this.
  2. In book "Motion Mountain-an adventure in physics"; I read about mass increase due to absorption of one green photon 3.7 * 10^(-31) kg. means on absorption of green photon mass of the object or body increases. Please tell me more about it.
  3. Physical phenomena explained or proved on the basis of WAVE theory is the misconception at the core of physics which leads to entanglement in going ahead in physics. I mean to say that wave theory was just like a mathematical tool which was used in physics just to go ahead in physics but the real concept is only particle (Dont merge here the DeBroglie equation). And I really discard wave theory and any phenomena explained or proved on its base.Every thing is particle. Wave, distribution of energy in space but the question here comes who is responsible for transferring energy from one place to another and its particle. From past 5 year I'd a great study over wave and I've come to this point and I made so because of zeal for studying PHYSICS and also as since Quantum mechanics and relativity contradict each other thus creating entanglement for the unification of all four forces i.e in GUT. I think one of the most mysterious tool (I call it) or theory used by physicist is wave and any phenomenon going to be proved on it will lead to entanglement. So theres a need to get the clear cut concept and not just by grasping over the ideas and theories studied or taught by. What you all think am I right? and please tell me about how to publish a new theory with all its criteria.
  4. HI I'm IT engineer completed my BE. I've a great zeal for physics there fore I've submitted a thread over here on waves can you please tell me about ur ideas on wave or what the basic concept behind wave

  5. So according to Quantum Theory, if light consists of a photon then photon will be the smallest particle towhich human can observed because human eye can see any thing if a light rays get reflected from any object or matter
  6. I mean to say that if the method used for generating the electromagnetic wave is same as that of used in any transmitting radio signal. Then now in this case if the frequency of generation of EM waves lies within visible spectrum then will their be light visible.
  7. please reply me about my thread I've posted

  8. will I'll be able to see the corresponding visible light if I generate a electromagnetic wave whose frquency lies within the VISIBLE SPECTRUM or not

    Odour

can u tell me little more on this
  10. Ashish

    Odour

whats responsible for the odour for any material or substance or which property is responsible
  11. Well thanks for the reply and I've seen the video about which you are talking about but can you tell the term used here "string " whats that
  12. can anyone explain me the basic of String theory
  13. really thats the question which has disturbed my mind. And I'm to satisfied with you. And i'm in search of it.....................
  14. But from the day I've learned about QM I think that there is nothing like a wave.
  15. Hi everybody Well I'm ashish from INDIA (Chhattisgarh,RAIPUR). I'm final year Engineering student from Information Technology branch. When I was in 12th standard, at that time Physics was my favorite subject and till now. But when I studied physics in the foundation course of first year really I used to get confused by quantum meshanics, there used to be so much of problems regarding that what should I think Light as a wave or a particle. And I have come up to a thought that there is nothing like a wave and its just a way of represention of various physical phenomenon So from that time I have a very great enthusiasm about Quantum Mechanic and Modern Physics. For that I started referring to various type of books related to modern physics and Quantum Mechanics and even also Internet. And a few days are happening I've joined this http://www.scienceforum.net, and I've posted few threads regarding to which I used to have doubts and I'm thankful to various members for their reply, am I in the right direction or what please help me.
  16. I mean to say that is there any small elementary particle which can be used as an integral one.
  17. No I was saying that charge occur only in quanta i.e. q = ne so is there anything about mass quantization
  18. As there is a charge quantization so as well for mass also or what?
  19. Isn't it for Atomic Mass Unit 1 amu = 1.660538782(83)\times 10^{−27} kg
  20. The elementary charge (symbol e or sometimes q) is the electric charge carried by a single proton, or equivalently, the negative of the electric charge carried by a single electron It has a value of 1.602 176 487 × 10^(-19) Coloumb. So is there any elementary mass

    Vaccum

    Unable to interpret it.
  22. Try ringing a bell in vacuum, you won't hear a thing! That's because waves need a medium. Can I assume that since there is vaccum ( a low pressure or a very less number of particles or matter), hence there are no particles thats why we are unable to hear i.e. there is nothing like a wave but we assume. I have studied that EM waves have both electric and magnetic field components. These components oscillate at right angles to each other and to the direction of propagation, and are in phase with each other. Since light is an electromagnetic wave, it is not affected by travelling through static electric or magnetic fields in a linear medium such as a vacuum. In nonlinear media such as some crystals, however, interactions can occur between light and static electric and magnetic fields - these interactions include the Faraday effect and the Kerr effect.
  23. Mod note: posts moved/copied from vacuum thread ——————————————— Please tell me about antiphotons or it is just lik ean antiparticle of it.

    Vaccum

Please tell me about antiphotons or it is just lik ean antiparticle of it.

    Energy

Well OK I'm sorry if I've disturbed you. And I've read many times http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page from many types of specific searches on articles and topic. The question I posted here because When I read my Physics book, (Fundamentals of Physics, RESNICK, HALLIDAY) chapter on Waves there are many things which cause confusion.
