for example
if i took a popsicle stick and bent it till it snapped in 2
wat did i really do did i break molecules, or did i break
the bonds that hold the molecules together ? idk
and if i did only break bonds why do little parts of the stick
break off too ???

z2 - 5z +5 = 0
z= -b+sqrtb^2-4ac
---------------
2a
z= 5+sqrt-5^2-4x1x5
------------------
2(1)
i tried putting that in to my calc. but it sed domain error
so i just tried taking that apart and solving it and i got
Z= -10
lol hope im right

kome on man lol i wanna learn what that means and how to use it
i like learning new stuff im addicted to it but i hate school lol
can one of you guys at least get me started on learning that 1i stuff
dont even have to teach me alot just enough to get me started
i'll learn the rest on my own using the internet

i think martin is lol or swansont if they count

wait arent there prime even numbers if u take a prime
even number and multiply it by a odd consecutive wont
that product not be divisible by two
arent prime not divisible by 2 or anything as a matter of fact
i forgot??? lol

wats 1+i mean ???
lol

i think it was integers but im not sure
ima find out 2day

lol it may not seem seriouse to you guys
but here it is
if u multiply two consecutive numbers will that
number always be divisible by 2
ex. 2x3=6 6/2=3
ex. 5x6=30 30/2=15
plz give me sum numbers that will prove this wrong lol
i argued my ass off wit my math teacher saying
i'll find sum numbers to prove him wrong (help a brotha out lol)

Einstein's general relativity says that all the planets
and our earth actually travel in a "straight line"
within a curved space-time.
Put another way....GR can show that the earth is not orbiting the sun, rather the earth is travelling a straight path and space/time is wrapped/curved around the sun.
So gravity = space-time curvature.
That is from another topic in this forum if this is true
are we not heloicentric?
does "everything" in the universe follow the curvatures?
does even light follow the space curvatures?
what are the curvatures exactly?

Martin thanks for helping me understand
an sorry if im a bother lol but im just really interested
but yea im a little confused about sum of the calculations
Z=2 distance now= 17.1 GLY
speed moving away now= 1.24
distance then= 3.34 GLY
speed moving then= 1.17c -----------i get that
Z=7 Distance now= 28.75
speed moving away now= 2.08c
Distance then= 3.59 GLY
Speed moving away then= 3.07c -------- i get this one too
Z=1100 Distance Now= 45.49 GLY
speed moving away now= 3.3c
Distance then= 0.04 GLY
Speed moving away- 56.95c ---------im confused on this one
if the object was closer to us "back then" then how was it
traveling faster away from us then now when its further away ???
i thought the farther away the faster it will move
i have a thought in the back of my head that it might be
have somthing to do with the time wen tha universe was opaque
and light first started moving as i've seen u describe in other posts
but idk
i've seen som1 describe the universe like a rubberband being stretched
and i see that as a good way to picture it the edges strech faster than
the center

kan we move to the next step Martin
i've been messin wit that Calc. for about 2 days now lol

idk i thought charge was related to energy lol
i dont kno alot about this stuff
0 -
but i read that photons have no charge so how kan they carry energy
0 -
besides the why and what factor wich i understand
wat u mean now but
i thought that Atoms were made of quarks
and does light travel through objects??
0 -
photons have no mass and that is what makes
them move so fast rite well are there no other
particles that contain no mass ??
and is a particle an atom or made up of atoms
if so if light is pure energy wouldnt the atoms
be made of pure enery ???

im understanding the calculator pretty well
and i understand wat ur saying about tha redshift formula
but im having trouble understanding wat Redshift actually is
ive read up on it but im having a hard time comprehending it
i understand all the outcomes except
The comoving volume within redshift z is 11486.128 Gpc3
The comoving radial distance, which goes into Hubble's law, is 13997.6 Mpc or 45.655 Gly
i dont kno wat these are and i kind of get the angular size difference

Do you have any trouble understanding how light that is emitted from an object when it is receding from us at, say, 2c (twice the speed of light) could eventually reach us?
i understand that pretty well if its a celestial body that emits light.
what if its a planet moving that far away that wouldnt emit light correct?
but i do understand that if it emits light moving 2c away that light will eventually reach us because light is constant and will keep going in whatever direction it was emitted in. but b-cuz the universe is expanding it will just take longer
Martin how do u kno so much kuz wen i graduate idk wat college
to go to for mainly science like this and u are Smart lol wat college did or do u go to
i hope im understanding this rite
(we havnt gone over things like this is school im just workin off the knowledge that i've gained from reading many topics on this site and other various websites)

you say
"But that does not mean that the distance to a remote galaxy cannot be increasing at a FTL rate."
if i understand correct your basically saying the distance between us and
remote galaxies is increasing at ftl speeds is this happening to all galaxies around us not just the distant ones.
and if so woudnt galaxies
that we are able to observe not be observable because they are moving
away so fast
and p.s. i dont know alot about all this kind of science i have a little
understanding but im still touchin the surface but i've been getting
relativity, how the universe is expanding, light all that stuff pretty well so far

do the impulses that move through our body move anywhere close to the speed of light
in Relativity
Posted
i know it sounds funny and is kind of a mix between
relativity and biology but i learned that the message
that is sent to your brain is made of electricity
for example, when you touch a hot stove the
message that is sent to your brain is made of
electricity so isn't that pure energy and isn't light pure energy
i know it cant go as fast as light because it has to move from cell
to cell to get to the brain but does it move close to the speed
of light???
and the speed of light is an instant arrival right??
i mean if something could move at the speed of light
it would be at its destination in an instant well if
someone has a good nervous system aren't some peoples
reaction at an instant so cant the message be moving close
to the speed of light?
for example. touching the hot stove with a good nervous system
don't some people move there hand the second they touch the stove
wouldn't that be considered an instant?
