  1. Hi, I have a microscope with a 100x oil immersion objective. I don't want to buy costly immersion oil, so I was wondering if there is some sort of alternative you can use? Thanks.
  2. How can OTH radar work? It bounces the waves off the ionosphere, but since the ionosphere changes every second wouldn't the radio wave be travelling on a different path on its way back from bouncing off a target?
  3. urbandictionary.com is priceless for looking up stuff like this.
  4. go to newport.com and hover over where it says "products"
  5. I saw this animal on the wall in a local sporting goods store and was hoping someone knew what it was? I googled "saskimo" as the sign says but it yielded no relevant search results.
  6. I am sure jeffrey dahmer could tell you if he was still alive.
  7. Where are the roughest and stormiest seas in the world? i have been told off the SW coast of africa they are really bad, but i am not sure.

    Is this doable?

I saw this site that says that you can build a laser listening device (Sounds Fancy huh?) by bouncing a laser beam off of a window to a CdS photocell. I was wondering if this is indeed a feasible task? Here's the link: http://www.ehow.com/how_5969176_make-laser-listening-device.html
  9. Curious, if matter expands when heated and contracts when cooled, why do pipes burst when they freeze? I mean shouldn't it get smaller, not burst?
