  1. but for woelen's method as well. I mean, if you dip anhydrous salt in the solution, it is the same thing. And by the way, if you dont know, boil at 100c might also boil alcohol as well. Albert
  2. does the mementum, 70kgm/s, neccessarily mean a force of 70N??
  3. But, is it really offically protected?? How about if the end users violate the rules??
  4. Ok, this is my method for the 1st question use electrolysis. if both oxygen and hydrogen are produced, the substance is water, or contains water.
  5. but, how do you know a program is licensed any way?? in another word, How do I lisence my program?? Albert
  6. 1, How do you test a substance whether it is or not water, chemically? 2, When Water and Phosphorus Tribromide are reacted, what reagent is water here? above are the questions that apear in my exam, and I have already done, but just want to see how you other will solve it. Albert
  7. you mean the wind force exerts on the ice-boat?? and its velocity accelerates?? Secondly, how do you calculate the mass of the air exerting on the boat's sail?? since the volume is indeterminable eventhough you know its density. Thirdly, again, what is that section in my website talking about relative wind velocity trying to conclude, stress on?? It only says, if the boat goes against wind, when the boat velocity increases, the relative wind increases. Whereas if the boat goes in the direction of the wind, when the boat velocity increases, the relative wind decreases. Albert
  8. But what's the advantage of having a lisence?? Do I have to register somewhere?
  9. thanks another question: showthread.php?t=12388 if you request it as showthread.php how does the webserver interpret that line?? without ?t=12388 then??
  10. If you make a program, how do you apply a software lisence??
  11. The most confusion, is, why the ICE-BOAT can travel even faster than wind??
  12. Ok, so, what sort of conclusion does that section say?? Albert
  13. So, why the final boat velocity isn't wind velocity + initial boat velocity?? Isn't that more logical??
  14. I have seen news about that Java isn't open-source. However, under somewhere in javahome dir, I could find a jar called src. When I unzip it, I can see all the classes which are included in the API. Why, yet, Java isn't open source?? Albert
  15. Why can't I just download the php file then?? Albert
  16. Hmm.... so, at what speed is the boat moving then??
  17. http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/~jw/sailing.html under the "How can boats sail faster than the wind? " section, it speaks about the relative wind speed. What is that??
  18. So, where is the mimetype written down?? on the file itself?? Does any one know how to use mimetype specifically??
  19. but why the server has to send the mimetype to the client?? since the client is receiving an html file any way.....
  20. So, in what kind of computer books will talk about "mimetype"?
  21. thanks Dave. but is GET a Unix command?? btw, for something like torrent, does it have a mimetype then?? just curious.
  22. And, How about Britain?? If I apply for a British university in 4 years, I will not need such an exam, because the end of year exam in our school is delivered to International Baccalaureate Organisation where if I pass, sends a certificate which is officially recognised through out the world, yes, both UK and US accept it, but for US, I need also to take SAT, where as UK, I dont know. Whatsoever, the test is claimed a reasoning test, but using such rare English words, do you think it is fair to test people's reasoning skill?? btw, the maths bit is alot easier though why do we have to be that good in English?? The majority isn't applying for English Literature subject any way. Albert
  23. Out of interest, I took a sample of SAT-I test paper, and I evaluated myself. To my surprise, especically in the mutliple choice question involving filling the gaps of sentences and choosing the right pair of related rephrases similar to the original ones, about 1/3 of the choices I dont know the vocab... I feel that the SAT's text is written in a certain style. Do you guys know any genre of text which is written like the SAT one in a similar way?? because I want to practice my vocabulary. This is my very 1st time that I disillusioned how poor in vocabulary my English is. Seriously, I never heard of those words, or any one spoke in that kind of tone. Albert
