  1. For the 1st of your questions, read my 1st post. For the 2nd one, so what if the software you're tried is not free? Someone did spend the time and effort to write it, thereby if you want to use a 3rd party software that actually works well, don't you agree that a little compensation is in order? Then again, there are numerous things you can do yourself that'll make someone miserable should they attempt to break into your system.
  2. For all you RISK freaks, go to http://www.globalcombat.com
  3. Lotus eh? These things are still known as the "Poor man's Lamborghini"?
  4. That is a long and complicated road, plus one I don't think I should give details on a respectable forums board, as you know, that is kind of, sort of illegal.
  5. Use a Proxy. Then you'll get these admins guessing. If you're using Netscape, you don't need to buy/download any 3rd party software, just plug in a Proxy's IP and a port, and off you go.
  6. The problem is, amber or no amber, the OLDEST possible DNA extraction was done on a specimen of about 50 thousand years old and that was mainly due to the luck of the draw as to where the fossils were found. Dyno's go back millions of years ago, which present a problem with such an extraction, and since No one has done it thus far, it may indeed be impossible to get a hold of their genetic materiel.
  7. Diablo II is a damn good game, but it gets old after a while. I've played that game for about 5 years on a On and Off basis, and there's only so many times you can beat the game and still not find any godly items. What ruined D2 for me though was the drop mod. So now I've backed up all the good items and the only thing I can see myself doing in that game is to hack the hell out of my chars, and that gets old even faster. Grrrr. I wish Blizard would release a new version of it, but alas, they won't.
  8. Since I've recently wrecked my Z28, I had to buy an older model of F-body. This time it's the 92 Firebird Formula. But for me, I don't like anything that has less then a V6. V8 is highly desirable on the other hand.
  9. But that's the best part about it. Movies, bleh, as much as I love starwars, movies # 1 and 2 sucked thus far. The original 4, 5 and 6 rocked. The novels is where it's all happening though. You've got to buy and read them. Truly amazing stuff. So far, I have over 50 starwars novels, that includes all of the old series and half of the new one.
  10. There are thousands of journals in a single country, let alone in other countries. I got some good linkys at work you might want to look though, but that'll have to wait 'till wednesday.
  11. Someone hopefully other than your friends and or colleagues who can review your work to make sure that it's done right, is pure of bias, is on topic, etc. and preferably someone who's in the same or very similar field, so that they'll actually understand what you are trying to do there, etc. By the way, who ever is reviewing your work does not get paid for it.
  12. Hmm, didn't realize you posted at the same time or just b4 me. Well, I don't know of any jokes, get Gir for me.
  13. Uhm, such things do exist here as well.
  14. I have that one, and I hate it. I can't tell the difference between a hit and a miss in that game. Plus it pisses me off how you have to use the mouse to swing your weapons, etc.
  15. Before any publication with anyone, the essay/report etc, must be peer-reviewed by a 3rd party scientist(s), bleh blah. For an example of a journal, go to: http://www.nature.com
  16. I hear what you're saying there. And while possible, that'll have to be a very rare mutation indeed, to possess such a trait other than the 1st few seconds or minutes of life. An ancient remnant trait or ability, passed on to us by one of the CA's, I suppose. I suppose it's the same or similar thing as neonates don't start breathing on their own 'till their umbilical cord is severed.
  17. Yeah I hear you. I try to steal what ever time I can now for EQ since I was very recently introduced to it, and right now I'm very tempted by the City of Heroes and Lineage II. Any thoughts on these?
  18. That's possible. After all, prions are simply proteins that are misfolded.
  19. Like the title said, anybody here play EQ or other games like that?
  20. Speaking of which, any of the J.J.R. Tolken's books are great.
  21. Heh, I know I've tied up more of your time than you're probably want already, but is there any way you can elaborate a bit further on that? Thanks, your responces are much appreciated on this matter.
  22. Is that because gravity has no influence on the light? I realize that photons have no mass, or at least there's no way to stop the photon and measure it, but is that why or are there other reasons? Also, since light/photons, whatever, have no mass, why isn't light able to get out of a black hole? What other mechanisms are in play if any are known?
  23. I guess I worded that thing a bit wrong in the initial post. But considering this paper and the theoretical telegraph, then it would be possible to break the c barrier IF such device existed, right? Also, one other question just occured, the current systems: eg: probes, etc, can be given a boost in speed by a gravitational swing or two, let's for a minute assume that we have a plane(or something) that is capable of traveling at the speed of light, will a gravi_assist increase the speed of the device any???
