  1. I've just picked up a copy of "City of Heroes" and let me tell you that this is the best thing this year I've spent 50 bucks on. After playing it for oh like, 5 minutes or so, I had to cancel my EQ account(I hate the controls there, especially for a melee char). The gameplay, the control, the graphics, etc are impressive, also considering the fact that there's absolutely no lag on the servers even when they are heavily populated.. [math]1s^2[/math]
  2. What happened to your post counts? The both of youz?
  3. Yes it was. The reason was due to it being found in an ice block, and anything that was ice cubed, will have lots and lots of DNA. No.
  4. Well, it WILL dissapear if you type that command in the Run window. Open the Command Prompt 1st, as it should help.

  6. The thing about hubs is that you need additional IP's. Some companies will let you have a few IP's, ie: the one I work for, will only let you have 1 IP. If you want more for your hub, you have to lease them.
  7. This is not an early april fool's joke or something??? WTF?
  8. If you're talking about a USB>Ethernet or Ethernet<USB converter, they make those. Belkin is one of the companies that make such things. If I had cable internet, the modem that fit your description just well would be a Motorola Surfboard 1000. Sayo, I've appereanly misread your post.
  9. Thus far, I have not tryed to do file-sharing on my system through the router. I'm too lazy at the time to mess with the router and open ports, or well, I guess you can set one of your computers under a DMZ, but that really has no merrit since with DMZ you won't be getting that 'hardware' firewall protection from your router. However my last network between XP and 98 using a cross-over connection was perfectly. Try this site as it might help in your quest: http://www.practicallynetworked.com
  10. Assuming that computer's hardware can physically sustain WinXP. What is it to run XP the processor has to be at least 500Mhz and 128MB of Ram. No, the Windows XP upgrade will set you back about $100.00 or so.
  11. I've spoken with a customer tonight who's computer has been jacked after she installed the SP2. I'll wait a while.
  12. Router means just that. It can route traffic, block/allow ports/services, etc. If you're thinking of a wireless router, make sure that you turn on the WEP, otherwise it's a free internet for your neighbors.
  13. Have you ever played with proxy software? Give it a shot, you might like it. http://www.winproxy.com Some of the games I played while I had the proxy, were: UT, Q3, and I've noticed no such lag as was mentioned by someone else.
  14. Oh you shouldn't have said that. One of these days you may say something that'll angrify me and I'll drive up there and slap you. j/k
  15. NOooo, that would be a job for the DNS server. Yes, a Proxy does this. It also hides your real IP addy. For example, if I check my IP simply in windows, it'll show my ip as 177.X.X.X However if I check my IP on http://www.whatismyip.com, it'll show my public IP which is 66.X.X.X WinProxy is very good, but there are others out there. Netscape/Mozzilla does not require a Plug-in, it's all in it's Prefferences. Like I said, in Netscape, you just plug in a Proxy server's IP and a Port, and you're good to go.
  16. Well, as long as I get GIR with the cow, I might consider. Otherwise, hell no, and please pass me that V8 buddy
  17. Since it seems that this month(well, September anyway) is dedicated to Einstein by at least several of the Pop Sci magazines, I've just picked up a copy of SciAm and Discover as they talk about him quite extensively. One thing I came to pretty quick was a mention of Violation(s) to Relativity, and something that I'd like to get more examples. What can be considered a Violation of either the Special Theory of Relativity as well as the possible violations to the General Theory of Relativity? I'm looking for examples really, like traveling faster than C, etc, but any further elaboration is welcome.
  18. I like something with a bit more Torque and HP.
