  1. 'They' don't need to travel light years to get here... They've been 'here' for as long as we have. I think it unlikely that they intend to do anything other than what they're doing now...simply because they haven't. --- Any attempt to make contact in a public manner, would be treated by our government as an extreme biological hazard. If they landed on the White House lawn, we wouldn't allow them to shake hand with the President. So, I think it is likely they'll continue to study us from a distance, while leaving little to no real evidence as to their existence.
  2. A cosmetology student recommended this, as we were talking about this just yesterday. He said, that 'hair' is one of the most oil absorbent substances you can find. I passed your comment along to the White House, along with a link to this thread. *Who knows, maybe someone might be paying attention.
  3. Thank you for the insights. I knew I could expect good stuff, here. --- I've heard they are 'skimming' and 'mopping' the oil off the surface. Do you know how much they'll possibly re-capture?
  4. Doesn't "dragon" mean 'terrible lizard', AND aren't there actual reptiles named "Komodo Dragons". Moreover, I think you are making my point for me. There ARE 'big lizards', that can and DO eat people, and we have fossilitic records of REALLY big lizards. The error that was made was attributing super-natural powers to these real entities. While they don't breathe fire or fly anymore, they DO eat men, women, and children if given the chance, their very saliva able to melt flesh and or poison you unto death... Dragon have always been real, they just lack the qualities we've ascribed to them. ETA: And this is the point I tried to make, U.F.O.'s/Flying Saucers have 'ALWAYS' been in our skies, according to the 'global' historical record. The problem lies with men attributing qualities to them that they may or may not actually have, such as "Godliness"...
  5. Has such a thing ever been witnessed, or is this speculation?
  6. I am sure you're right, and I am sure better engineers than me are at work trying to solve this problem. The skimmers at work now, seem ill-designed, ridiculously small, and literally like removing water from Lake Meade with a bucket. While it wouldn't be as easy as turning on a spigot, put we are literally taking about picking stuff up off the top of the water... It wouldn't have to be 'filtered' from the water, as it 'floats' atop. *Birds are were already being found in Texas yesterday covered with oil. The President has said publicly that BP will be held financially responsible, but Exxon is STILL arguing in court over the amount they owe for clean up efforts, the last time I checked.
  7. Surely, you've heard about the off-shore oil rig explosion that is now leaking hundreds of thousands of barrels crude into the gulf a day. At $75 a barrel, why isn't there a company out there outfitting a tanker right now to collect it? I'm envisioning a small skimmer, that then pumps the oil into the tanker...? I mean no one 'owns' this oil anymore right? Granted, it is spread out over an area as big as Delaware, in a layer only several millimeters thick, but it's free money just floating out there. --- While this has been a news story for days, there been no real sense of urgency attached to it. The Drill Baby Drill folks have ben awful quiet, but we really haven't heard from the Oceanography folk yet. What kind of devastation are we looking at ecologically speaking?
  8. Please forgive the intrusion, no derail intended, but I was hoping that someone could answer a question... "What happens when two black holes meet...mathematically speaking?
  9. This is the best collection I've seen, in regards to 'historical' depictions: http://www.ufoartwork.com/
  10. So, upon what basis do you dismiss the humanoid containing 'craft'/flaming chariot similarities between all these pieces of media spread across our historical record...even unto our present digital media...youtube "U.F.O."... Clearly, something better than us IS up there, 'if' we are to believe our own history.
  11. That's crazy talk, with all your reasonable stances, and less than outlandish conclusions. Personally, I think we were 'planted' here, as some sort of hybrid possibly a combo of what was here and them, and that they've been studying us and potentially bumping our development along the way. Just like our scientists observe, tag, and release lower species...the evidence suggests the same thing is happening to us. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts merged Two points, first what percentage of creation stories contain NO similarities to other creation stories? Second, there ARE some dis-similarities, so maybe we had more than 'one' creator...
  12. Which is more likely, that everyone on Earth had a global communication network, so that everyone was able to share their similar creation stories and those about the flying sky people...? That people around the world were actually witnessing and recording similar events...? OR That everyone decided to record the same 'lie', without any connection between them...? --- Here's a better game. Which is more likely, that ALL religions are based on the same single lie, that "God exists in Heaven(s)." OR That we've just misinterpreted what "God" truly is?
  13. Yeah, I expected that... Now, if you had stories from every continent of egg hiding earth goddesses, I'd believe the story 'might' have some validity.
  14. The thing that's always puzzled me is the unnecessary requirement that 'they' would be able to travel interstellar distances. I know I am gonna get tagged a "woo" for even bringing it up, but our historical record is literally filled with tales of "heavenly agents" being part of both our creation and our development. For as long as man could carve on walls, he has recorded the fact that there are 'objects' in the sky that could not be explained, and that these 'objects' are usually themed with having or possessing abilities beyond our own or godliness. Again, I know that the likes of Daniken and Hancock aren't taken seriously in the 'scientific community'. I think that's because their theories are half-cocked. That said, I am wholly and completely unable to disregard our written historical record as fiction. Hawking DID in his conclusion that 'they' would have the same effect that Columbus did on the Native Americans... Columbus had no 'extensive' history with North Americans. While I am NOT suggesting that we take every religious text at it literally word, I think we have made the biggest mistake possible by relegating all ancient history to the make-believe section. Rather I think we should simply re-interpret such texts and remove the super-natural overtones. God isn't "G"od, but rather simply something a bit more advanced than us. Regardless, they have 'always' been in our heavens, we just haven't figured out what they are exactly... Who knows they 'could' be just a more advanced form of us.
  15. What if the system was unpressurised...an 'open drip pan', with a heat activated syphon hose that connects the boil chamber to the resevior. Granted you'd loose LOTS of water, but you could chill a tent to catch most of it... Would that work?
  16. Greetings Fellow "Forum" Users, I'm here because I don't tweet, facebook, or myspace. Well I have a facebook account, but I can't recall the last time I even signed in. I far prefer the anonymity of message boards or public forums, where I don't have to be afraid of asking a question I should already know the answer to. I love to surround myself with people who know more than me, and just soak it in... I look forward to learn and sharing.
