why not abandon the firearms and use a weapon that will accellerate a projectile without the heat of gunpowder. i was thinking maybe a railgun or even a superhigh burst of pressurized water. a millimeter thick stream of water at 30,000 psi can cut through 3 feet of steel in half a second (maybe an exageration but someone will correct me)

you cannot get matter cold enough to a point where it ceases to exist that would violate the law of conservation of energy. The matter thats sucked into a black hole is not destroyed mearly transported into another time or something like that. you cannot destroy matter or energy it violates entropy if thats the correct word

cold and hot are relative your cant call something cold and hot without a point of referance in energy terms the highest for of energy released was at the FERMI labs during antimatter anhialation (i dont think i spelled that right check me here)

lithium is the least reactive of all the alkaline metals it has to be either very very thin sheets witha huge surface area or very impure, with contaminates like rubidium that cause it to explode... lithium 99.997% pure will not explode or catch fire spontainiously, and anyway my chunk sinks in the gasoline

you can use other oils like gasoline or desil fuel (however you spell it) they work quite well a bit better than mineral spirits if you can safely store it..a caution, store only lithium like this sodium or any other metal can be an extreme fire hazard

yah mineral spirits are your best bet. if you cant find it in the drug store try a hardware store in the paint section. also as an addeed note a desicant and an oxygen remover ( i found it ina bag of beef jerky...i almost ate it... but it says "oxygen remover-DO NOT EAT" on it) in the lid of the container it helps cut down on the oxididization of the floating lithium... by the way where do your get your lithium?

D.U.A.P. rounds are still in use today. mostly buy tanks and large mobile level weapons ( i have no clue what i said, i just mean non artillery weapons) as armos pierceing. the rounds are surrounded bya lead cover like normal civilian rounds. but instead over being hollow they are filled with D.U. and the lead mushrooms on impact and send the core sliding in like a hypodermic punch. only a direct hit will actually release the uranium core... i least thats what ive heard.. the depleted uranium rounds have changed a lot over the years

boiling, burning oil and rapidly oxidizeing lithium not fun good thing i have a class *D* fire extinguisher i think i may go witht the disolveing the lithium in ammonia but i am open to any suggestions on how to make potassium in a home lab

yah i want the K but i had the problem of the lithium igniteing

i almost got it to work by boiling them in mineral spirits... the i think were starting to react because the litium started to turn to its normal silver tone and lose its oxide. but then the oil ignited and i ran for a fire extinguisher

hey you know etcha sketches? well the powder in them is very pure aluminum and it will serve its uses for thermite just fine

o yah i get all my batteries for free just use dead ones. they still have all their lithium. compared to a new one and battery stores will happily give you a few hundred for free. they are the ones that have to dump it. reduces the load

hey i read somewhere that lithium can cause some really weird reactions that can purify metal oxides chlorides nitrates ... and so on. theres this reaction thats very strange its KNO3 + Li ---> LiNO3 + K is this possible? I heard its how some scientists purify a few unamed actinides. can anyone shed some light on this?

has anyone ever heard of this stuff this stuff...i forgot what it was called but its like chromium+8 and sulfuric acid that disolves almost anything someone at a hazardous waste dump mentioned it when i was volunteering there

LOL secret method... u cut open the bateries and unravel the strip of lithium and the black stuff of which i forgot the name and dunk it in oil... i used mineral spirits for the oil but diseal fuel works. use lithium photo batteries... just find one that says "lithiun pile" on it somewhere thats the kind you want

i would smile upon one who could make sodium at their home ive been trying to do it for a while. its very hard and fairly dangerous ive been trying to a use lithium displacement reaction i read soemwhere to isolate the sodium..... if anyones got any info on this id love it. by the way if you do end up isolateing sodium... can i haeva sample?

C-4 and gelignite are pretty safe both cannot be detonated except with cap. gelignite itself will burn like cloth or candle wax but not explode unless it recieves a concussion from a cap
