Let us say you were on a bridge about 1km long and 150m wide made out of concrete and some kind of metal framework. Everything in the entire universe is basically in motion and oscillating (in a pattern? who knows). When I talk about resonance I mean for the universe to be in a continued state of peak oscillation at all times for it never lose or gain energy. So its basically in continuous resonance. My question is why is everything at the small scale, relative to the size of the universe always losing energy? But somehow the universe is expanding at the same time.

Why is it only things of small scale that experience loss of energy relative to the universe size. Heck even the universe is expanding.
