1. ## iProblem

But why the equality? Roots of 4 aren't equal.
2. ## iProblem

Was just playing around with the equations, when I found something strange. Suppose there is a number (1-x)^0.5, then pull out a -1 out of it so that it becomes i(x-1)^0.5 Now again, pull out a -1 from the root so that the term inside the root is reverted back to the original, So, it becomes (i^2)(1-x)^0.5 (1-x)^0.5 => -(1-x)^0.5 So, what does it mean? How is it possible to turn a positive real number to a negative real number without following any sort of symmetric algebraic algorithm?
3. ## Measuring air mass... Is it possible without scales?

The air pressure will always be under equilibrium at all times i.e, the pressure at every point on the container is going to remain the same. The tube is also to be included under container though. You'll need more (I think the relation is linear) the pressure to pump the same 'mass' of air into the 2nd one than the 1st one. The air flow is more rapid for the 1st container and the both reach the equilibrium at same time.

thanks man!!

Hello miss.patience.... Remember me?

accept me as a friend.... plz

i need ur help...

6. ## Born old ???

Hey, but it should live only half that life.... about 10 yrs. genes do affect the age of an organism. have u heard of the 1st cloned mammal, a sheep named Dolly. which was a clone of a sheep of age 6yrs. it survived only six years more while a normal sheep's lifespan is about12yrs. hows that possible?.....

hey, u typed that looooooong article yourself?

8. ## Born old ???

Animals are often cloned by the method of 'somatic cell nuclear transfer'. suppose, a cow which is about 10 years old is cloned by method of SCNT, its somatic cell nucleus has the genes which already have the information of how old the cow is i.e 10 yrs. now in this method, the complete nucleus of the somatic cell is transfered to an egg-cell of a donor. then this zygote is implanted artificially into another cows womb. After a new calf(clone) is born, will its initial age be 10 years? will its 1st birthday be its 10th birthday? Average lifespan of a cow is about 20 yrs, so will this CLONED COW live only 10 years more? Waiting for input....
9. ## Short lifespan with cloning ????

10. ## The hidden universe????

then what is the controversy? There must be some rate at which the black hole sucks up the up the space. you mean to say that universe is finite?
11. ## The hidden universe????

Everyone knows that BLACK HOLES suck up everything around them, even light can't escape. Consider a black hole. It keeps on sucking up the space around it endlessly, Since there is no limit, infinite amount of space and time are twisted and sucked up, THERE MUST BE ANOTHER UNIVERSE WITHIN THAT BLACK HOLE!! IS THAT POSSIBLE? Please Explain. Waiting for ur kind response....

hi. how r u?

13. ## Nitrifying Bacteria

these nitrifying bacteria do not simply waste their energy by continuously converting atmospheric nitrogen or ammonia in the soil into Nitrates. they actually utilize the nitrogen, NH3, and other inorganic compounds for the life processes taking place in their bodies. the actually derive energy by this process. The resultant Nitrates and Nitrates; which to us; humans are useful; are mainly the Waste products secreted from their bodies... They don't get anything out of this process. But these processes are part of the life processes required for their metabolism. Nitrogen fixing bacteria which are most important are the Cyanobacteria. These may be solitary, colonial or terrestrial. They have specialized cells in their colonies called Heterocysts. these cells have the required pigments for this process. I have tried my best to explain. For anymore help, please mail me.
14. ## Digestion of cellulose ....

All herbivorus animals have enzyme called 'Cellulase', which digests the cellulose present in plants they eat. But we lack that enzyme, but even then we can digest the RAW FRUITS & VEGETABLES we eat. How is that possible? Does the remaining nutrients get digested and the left over cellulose is thrown out intact?
15. ## Can a spaceman survive length contraction?

its a good doubt.. but u need to keep in mind the frame of reference from which you are observing the astronaut.. in our frame of reference he is moving at very high speed, but in his frame of reference, we are moving at high speeed. he does not experience any length contraction in HIS FRAME OF REF.
