  1. Just figured this out. All they want you to do is use Boyle's law to find the new pressures at the new volume of 3L. Boyle's Law: V=K/P, where k is the constant. So you use the initial numbers to find K 2=K/475 Torr --> K= 950 with new volume, plug in the K to find new P --> 3=950/P2 --> P2 = 317 (rounded) You then do this for the other side of the stopcock and add the two new pressures together to get total pressure
