  1. Yeah, I'd suggest a nice easy scripting language python, perl or LISP(it looks crazy at first imho). Then learn C/C++. I've heard good things about java, but if you snort source code for breakfast the SDK and such is proprietary and closed-source. I prefer C(I also know C++ but I find it a lot larger executable wise) and Python.
  2. I've heard that with hypnosis you won't be able to make someone hurt themselves directly, but if you disguise it, it can work. Making it something like a subliminal message with laxer security. Hypnosis is actually more suggestive than "Go grab a flamethrower and weld it to a rocket launcher, go to the white house and throw the flame launcher..." so it would be something like "Wouldn't it be nice if someone welded a flamethrower to a rocket launcher and threw it at the white house?" slowly building up possibly. It's all suggestion really.

Don't use Ubuntu anymore(moved to slack 10.1) but you should invest time into learning aptitude (a curses based apt-get frontend), it's similar to synaptic but keeps lists of packages and will remove their dependencies on uninstall if there are no conflictions, whereas synaptic will not. Ubuntu is nice but I dislike how they don't give you a desktop environment choice(I hate gnome with a ferver) aptitude should be done as root in a terminal.
  4. Well you can do many things with C. You ever heard of CGI C? It's a compiled C form of CGI instead of perl, haven't tried it but I'm pretty sure it's needlessly complicated. I personally prefer C++ as an uber 1337 versatile language, because classes are one of the most useful things ever. In my personal opinion Java is only accepted because it's machine independant and can be used on any machine nearly.
  5. Radium, it's fun and safe. I've played with Radium for years and now I can't have kids, thanks Radium
  6. Well I suppose you could get rid of the iron with a magnet, dunno about the gold. Also if it's pure iron and gold I doubt you'd get platinum out of it.
  7. Thanks, for anyone else who would like this C++ Builder is free now from Borland, can be found at http://www.borland.com/products/downloads/download_cbuilder.html# Edit, it's not. EDIT2: Ok where is this option located?

Couldn't you set it so that there are two frequencies and that say 1 is 700nm and 0 is 680nm(2 awesome points to anyone who recognizes those frequencies)? Well you know what's cool about light? It's really really fast. So say you wanted to transmit data from A to B. Light will get there near instantaneously, but electric data will take much longer.
  9. I have noticed that all assemblers and tutorials do not work for me. I am wondering if someone could provide me a link to a working assembler and tutorial. I am using WinXP.
  10. I'm starting to sense a really kick-arse language possibly being designed OOP is useful, it makes many tasks that mimic life like events much easier. I'm too young to have been alive back then. Hell I was born after C++, which is my main language. Perhaps you should invest some time into Lex and Yacc and remake BASIC with these powerful qualities. In my humble but probably stupid opinion all interpreted code is pretty bad, but useful. Python is a great example, amazingly useful but slow. Java is even worse because it's intermediate code.
  11. But the missiles are connected to my hearbeat And even if they don't care they will care someday when it cascades down upon them in a torrent of very screwed up weather HAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA
  12. Ok. Stockpile medium range missiles, and chlorofluorocarbons. Build a base in antartica, with silos and missiles filled with CFCs. Threaten to launch the missiles into the ozone. Request a hundred million dollars. When they laugh switch to all the gold on earth. Then abandon the base but take the gold. Buy whichever country you want
  13. Kinda overplayed but funny. You forgot: If pro is for and con is against what is congress against? and If electricity comes from electrons does morality come from morons?
  14. Well, you could set it up. But who would want to work near one? If someone gets fried whose fault is it? Interesting idea, I do think that upkeep costs would limit it's abilities to function as a major energy source.
