  1. Wasting "everyone's"? Your trying to twist this around on me, please, kindly stop commenting in this thread. I created it, no one has to read it if they aren't interested. No one is forcing you to be here. What you're doing is not helpful and you know it. Stop with the abuse, please leave. I'm getting tired of the relentless "negative" down votes on anything I say, some of you are clearly doing it on purpose because you're immature pricks, your just negative Nancy's. I rarely negative vote something, I either don't vote or else I "up vote" if I generally agree with or support someones comment, usually when it relates to the thread and not just random comments.
  2. It does when the other people will only support you mostly because your female - I see through them like glass. Also, I was asking some questions that I wanted to get some other peoples thoughts on, I wasn't trying to annoy anyone. You however, come in and try hijack a thread, just throwing in your 2 cents worth of unrelated comments whilst avoiding the original questions. It's very simple. If you don't want to join in a discussion by answering or helping the original poster, then seriously, why bother commenting? Saying you don't think about the question I asked is not helpful, I wanted people to think about it and get back to me with what they actually feared most when they have to think about death. How is what you responded with any different from the following scenario: OP asks "Do you like the new McDonald's cheese burger?" Someone responds with "I don't eat cheese burgers"..... You're commenting for the sake of commenting, it's a waste of the OP's time & doesn't provide any useful feedback in relation to what they were looking for. If anyone else out there can see this as well, instead of just abusing me for the sake of joining in, please say so. What Sirona is now trying to do is called "defamation", others are joining in. Let me make this as simple as I possibly can, read what I type: Don't just comment about something in here if you don't want to assist me by providing your personal thoughts on the questions at hand at the beginning of this thread. Don't go spinning off in a tangent that's mildly related to death, please just think about the original questions and get back to me with your thoughts. I'm a curious person, I like hearing what others really think when they are confronted with the thought of death, I don't care if you do or don't think about death often, don't provide me with statistics or ways to help avoid dying, that wasn't the point of this thread. Thanks.
  3. I'm pointing out the obvious, it's more like thread hijacking. Referring to my original questions, if someone goes off on a wild tangent that's only mildly related to my question I point it out. I believe you're all sticking up for her instead of me because I'm male, and she's female. She was the one being rude and annoying, are you all seriously blind? What the heck is wrong with you.
  4. The card system doesn't grant anyone special access, you cannot credit certain citizens, it's merely for logistical & statistical purposes, to see what people use most, what needs to be manufactured more frequently to keep up with the pace of consumption etc. And in this new system, no one person holds power as such, but rather a rotating group of people randomly selected to help govern, with the people of the country voting on most issues as opposed to leaving it up to a "president". Any form of corruption or power mongering people will be removed from the country, this will be easy to watch out for.
  5. I'm working on this very problem with some other people. Some of us actually want to help build a new country or re-shape one and make sure money is abolished. As long as everyone is working on something, there is no need for money as the products/items/food produced in this country by the very people working in it without being paid are all entitled to everything, with an electronic "ID" card that you use to "purchase" items or food & general supplies but without ever accumulating or removing anything from the card - For statistical purposes & monitoring of the citizens. We will have doctors, scientists, teachers, mechanics, farmers, entertainers & everything in-between. No need to pay the hospital bill should you fall ill, as they will all be citizens and are required to do their job in order to receive citizen benefits, in other words everything is covered. It's going to take a very long time to achieve this goal of ours, since the required amount to purchase an island that a country would be willing to "give up" and have this island considered a separate country, then to commence construction of a technologically advanced city from the ground up would be at least $150 Billion USD. (Give or take a few billion)
  6. My thoughts exactly. But the more recent IQ test I just completed states that I have an IQ of over 4,000! Notes: The IQ test was setup & conducted by me.
  7. Intelligence takes on many forms, you could be academically intelligent, mathematically, logically, socially, planning, organizationally or even environmentally (spatial awareness/intelligence). The IQ test really only checks for some educational factors, logic & pattern recognition. A new method needs to be devised which checks for the whole range of different intelligence factors. I get along fine with people who I can clearly see are at an intelligence disadvantage or even those I deem far smarter than myself, it's just a matter of "tweaking" how you talk or respond to those people that are surrounding you at the time, so that you "fit in" better with them and make them feel generally more comfortable when talking to you instead of making them feel degraded or inferior, no one likes to feel that way. If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about IQ test scores, it's better to ask people questions or hang around them for a while to get a better understanding of their different intelligence factors & educational levels. FYI: Some conspiracy theories turn out to be true.
  8. then why be here discussing it?!?!?!?! WHY????? Humans!!!!! This is why I must understand you all better, you're all illogical, not me!
  9. So why bother commenting if you didn't want to answer the original question...the entire point of this thread? What exactly is wrong with you? Go use facebook
  10. What? You completely avoided my original question. You're the one escaping by saying you don't think about death, then you rant on about decreasing your chances of death, again all completely irrelevant to the question. You literally danced around the question by responding with something else. I'm asking you to think about the thing you don't think about, then tell me what fears you most in your own mind. Is it the thought of dying? Or is it the thought of living after a bad experience? For me, it's not the thought of death, dying doesn't worry me at all (when you actually try think about it hard) If you don't want to answer the question, then please don't comment with something else again.
  11. Uhm, yeah... Thanks for the story Sirona, that's not what I was getting at. I don't sit here all day thinking about what if's, I just wanted to know if other people actually fear death it's self or rather the thought of living through a horrible accident/experience. I don't think about the what if's, it was merely a question to get other peoples perspective on the subject. I like learning about other humans, what they think, what they personally feel about a particular subject or question etc.. FYI, I've been in 2 plane crashes, both in light aircraft in PNG hahaha, the worlds best place to fly! But otherwise yes you are correct, car crashes are a leading cause of death compared to flying, which is still the safest mode of transport to date. Not living in a big city however, limits the "not driving" part for a lot of people, where even buses don't go to and there are no trains or trams, so driving your own vehicle is a must for work in such places and generally a requirement for some jobs.
  12. Greetings. I have a question for all you mortals. I have been pondering if others are really afraid of death/dying, or if they are more like me, afraid of an accident or situation where you know the chances of instant death are not 100%, and you're more afraid of being seriously injured and surviving, that or having an accident where it leaves you in an immense amount of pain and the suffering you would go through before finally dying... Or even the thought of being permanently (mostly) disabled. If I am on a plane and we are way up high in a 747 traveling from one country to another for instance, if the wings were to suddenly snap off, that wouldn't really scare me much, because I know the chances of surviving for even a few seconds after impact would be close to 0%. But, if I am traveling on a light aircraft as I have done many times and we are in an emergency situation not far from the airport, that scares me the most. Because my brain knows there is a good chance of survival, but the chances of not being seriously injured are slim. After the years of self-analyzing, I have come to realize that I am not afraid to die, death doesn't scare me at all. It's the thought of going through something terrible and living for a while longer to suffer before dying, to feel all the pain or to choke on your own blood and deal with the broken ribs or spine with your eye hanging out and your brain half smashed open while having to wait for death to finally come around. So which are you all really afraid of? Are you like me, not afraid of death but you're more afraid that you could live through some sort of tragedy/accident with horrible consequences.. For instance if I'm up high on a building and I were to fall off, on the way down I wouldn't be thinking "Oh no! What if I die?!" - I would be thinking "Oh sh*t! What if I live?!"
  13. Automata was a great film, a bit slow and kind of creepy but it does give a different insight into how AI could evolve beyond it's original programming.
  14. I think this is the problem with me. I don't have the "socially unacceptable" database in my head, I speak my unfiltered mind and it usually lands me in sh*t. I may need reprogramming.
  15. No comment. Usually you're right, YouTube is full of fakes.
  16. This is the only real one on all of YouTube, this is what they look like and how they move, they are always jittery and don't like bright lights, this video did not come from me, unsure who the original uploader was or who the person was that sent the video into the TV station. Another thing you don't see, but if you do see them close up, they also have large brown/hazel rings around the inside of their eyes just like us, you don't normally see that unless enough light shines in their eyes, their eyes are like ours but just a lot bigger, especially their pupil size.
  17. This is some great feedback! Very interesting to read, I completely agree with pain & emotions being the cause of many human issues, I don't think we need to create an AI with those, but then again, we should do both and see what happens. I also agree that many people have a misconception that the AI would think humans are a problem that need exterminating... I doubt this would be the case, if anything humans could be seen as a tool to help the AI do what it could not, or else just a useless by-product of evolution and no need to take notice of humans at all unless we directly threaten it due to our own fears or something equally stupid that humans would do (because we let fear get the best of us in deciding factors).
  18. Yes Mike, you said it just right, it's for humans to make up their mind and decide. I can't comment too much on the "being observed" in fear of another court battle, but let's say: Humans aren't being observed from a far, it's been done right here on Earth. Only in certain situations when actual ready-built nuclear warheads are armed & ready to fire during war & political tensions between certain countries do they come and "disarm" the warheads temporarily by disrupting the electrical circuits, not exactly sure how they do it, but they do. I won't go into this any further, but it's not up to them to fix our own problems, however they do assist right when things are about to get bad for everyone (including them).
  19. I heard about this on the news, I thought it was the funniest thing I had heard in ages! Seriously how hilarious is that, after being online for less than a day, an AI chat-bot becomes a politically incorrect racist!
  20. On the subject of extending life, I heard somewhere that if you consistently sleep in cold conditions (with aircon?) that you slow the ageing process down a little bit. Although I cannot verify this, it had something to do with making the body go into a deeper sleep, almost like hibernation.
  21. It depends if you count certain humans as inanimate objects
  22. Mike, You need to take a big step back and re-think what's going on in the world. Look at it from another perspective. The current "wars", mass migrations & other political/financial issues are created on purpose. You're talking about an organisation that needs to step in, but this is exactly what’s been going on for a while now, things are heading in the exact direction they need to for this to take place. Soon the world will become a Type-1 civilization, we are heading that way now, however wars & the likes are required for the "push" into forming a global government, to help set one type of rule (law) for everyone to follow, to give this world government complete power to be able to do as you suggested - To control all the problems, to fix the wars and govern all of man-kind. The world all speaking one language is one of the first steps to becoming a Type-1 civilization, English is almost a Type-1 language, this is why it is used in mathematics, international business, airports & radio communications etc. For everyone to unite and have everyone integrated into 1 type of system, wars, distrust, hate & violence are all unfortunately needed to basically trick the population into electing a “stronger” political power, to make everyone feel safe… We are on our way to becoming a Type-1 civilization, that’s what’s going on right now and has been for the past hundred years, it’s the final deciding factor before we either destroy ourselves or finally make it to Type-1. Most people reading this reply of mine will think I’m a nut, I’m just someone who can remove all emotions & take a bigger look at the things going on around.
